Before install day
Power 10A GPO within 1.5m, dedicated circuit for combo/coffee.
Access 900mm doorway min, lift check if not ground floor.
Floor Level, hard surface, 500kg+ load rating, waterproof mat under refrigerated/coffee units.
Network 4G reception check for Nayax/Vendon SIM, or 2.4GHz WiFi credentials.
Safety 500mm clearance behind, not blocking exits, anti-tip strap where needed.
Building access, city by city
Most failed installs in Australia fail on access, not on the machine.
- Sydney and Melbourne CBD towers: book the dock, supply a certificate of currency for public liability, expect an induction and often an after-hours window. Lifts have weight and door-width limits — measure both before delivery day.
- Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra suburban sites: usually kerbside with trolley access. Confirm there are no steps and no gravel between the truck and the door.
- Regional and industrial sites: confirm a truck with a tail-lift can turn and park. On mine and heavy-industry sites, allow time for site inductions before a technician can attend.
- Apartment buildings: strata approval in writing, plus agreement on where the machine sits relative to fire egress paths.
The non-negotiables
A dedicated 10A GPO within about 1.5 m, a level and load-bearing floor, 75–100 mm clear behind the machine for airflow, no direct sun on the glass, and an ambient temperature the deck can cope with. In Darwin, Cairns and Townsville, an unconditioned corridor will run a compressor into the ground; get the machine into conditioned space or accept shorter deck life.
Anti-tip fixing matters too. Machines are heavy and tipping incidents are the main safety risk in vending — secure the unit as the manufacturer specifies, especially anywhere the public can reach it.
